หลักการและเหตุผล

โครงการสนับสนุนนักวิจัยและศาสตราจารย์เยี่ยมเยือนอาวุโส เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนความเป็นสากล (Internationalization) และยกระดับมาตรฐานวิชาการและการวิจัยของวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ (KUIC) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเชิญชวนผู้เชี่ยวชาญ นักวิจัยที่มีประสบการณ์สูง หรือศาสตราจารย์เยี่ยมเยือนจากสถาบันการศึกษาและหน่วยงานวิจัยระดับนานาชาติ มาปฏิบัติหน้าที่เป็นที่ปรึกษา ให้คำแนะนำ ให้การบรรยายพิเศษ รวมถึงร่วมดำเนินโครงการวิจัยเชิงบูรณาการข้ามศาสตร์

กลไกนี้มุ่งเน้นการสร้างกระบวนการพัฒนาบุคลากรวิจัยและนิสิตอย่างยั่งยืน ได้แก่ อาจารย์ผู้สอน นักวิจัย ผู้ช่วยวิจัย และนิสิตในหลักสูตรนานาชาติ รวมถึงการขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับคณะและหน่วยงานต่างๆ ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์และสถาบันเครือข่าย ทั้งนี้ เพื่อสร้างบรรยากาศแห่งการเรียนรู้และการวิจัยระดับนานาชาติที่เข้มข้น ส่งเสริมให้วิทยาลัยนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เป็นศูนย์กลางการเชื่อมโยงความรู้ งานวิจัย และนวัตกรรมกับองค์กรชั้นนำในระดับสากล

วัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการ

1. ยกระดับคุณภาพงานวิจัยและวิชาการ: เพื่อสนับสนุนให้นักวิจัยและศาสตราจารย์เยี่ยมเยือนอาวุโสเข้ามาร่วมเป็นที่ปรึกษาในโครงการวิจัยและหลักสูตรนานาชาติของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ส่งเสริมการสร้างผลงานวิชาการและงานวิจัยตีพิมพ์ในระดับสากลได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
2. พัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากรและนิสิต: เพื่อพัฒนาและสร้างสมรรถนะสากลให้แก่อาจารย์ นักวิจัย และนิสิตในหลักสูตรนานาชาติ มุ่งเน้นการวิจัยที่ตอบสนองต่อยุทธศาสตร์การพัฒนาประเทศและการเป็นพลเมืองโลก (Global Citizen)
3. ขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ: เพื่อสร้างและกระชับความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการวิจัยระหว่างวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ กับสถาบันการศึกษาและองค์กรวิจัยชั้นนำทั่วโลก ผ่านเครือข่ายของศาสตราจารย์เยี่ยมเยือนอาวุโส
4. ถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และสร้างบรรยากาศสากล: เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนและถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ ประสบการณ์การวิจัย และนวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ ให้แก่อาจารย์ นิสิต และผู้สนใจทั่วไป ผ่านการจัดการบรรยายพิเศษ (Guest Lectures), งานสัมมนาวิชาการ (Seminars) และการจัดการจัดอบรมและประชุมปฏิบัติการ(Workshops)

ระยะเวลาการปฏิบัติงาน

• ระยะเวลาปกติ: ไม่เกิน 1 ปี
• การต่อสัญญา: สามารถพิจารณาต่อสัญญาได้รวมกันไม่เกิน 2 ปีติดต่อกัน หรือตามความจำเป็นทางวิชาการและการดำเนินโครงการวิจัย โดยขึ้นอยู่กับการพิจารณาเป็นรายกรณีตามอนุมัติของคณะกรรมการบริหารวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ

Program Overview

The Senior Visiting Professor Support Program serves as a key strategic mechanism to drive internationalization and elevate the academic and research standards of Kasetsart University International College (KUIC). The program aims to invite highly experienced researchers, distinguished scholars, and visiting professors from leading international institutions to serve as advisors, mentors, guest lecturers, and co-researchers in collaborative interdisciplinary research projects.

This initiative is designed to foster a sustainable capacity-building environment for faculty members, research assistants, and students within international programs, while expanding academic networks across departments at Kasetsart University and partner institutions. By bringing in world-class academic expertise, the program cultivates a vibrant, globally connected research and learning ecosystem at KUIC, strengthening its position as an international hub for higher education, research, and innovation.

Program Objectives

1. To Enhance Research and Academic Excellence: To engage senior visiting professors as advisors for KUIC’s research initiatives and international programs, accelerating high-impact academic output and international publications.
2. To Empower Faculty and Student Capacity: To build global competencies among researchers, faculty members, and students in international programs through mentorship and strategic research aligned with national and global development goals as global citizenship.
3. To Expand Global Research Partnerships: To establish and strengthen international academic collaborations between KUIC and leading international academic and research institutions worldwide through the professional networks of visiting professors.
4. To Promote Knowledge Transfer and Global Engagement: To facilitate the transfer of advanced knowledge, research methodologies, and global expertise through special lectures, academic seminars, and specialized workshops for students, faculty, and the public.

Duration of Appointment

• Standard Period: Up to 1 year.
• Extension: Contract extension may be granted up to a total maximum of 2 consecutive years, or based on project necessity and subject to approval by the KUIC Executive Board on a case-by-case basis.
