Announcement from Kasetsart University
Following the earthquake on March 28, 2025, Kasetsart University promptly convened expert teams specializing in structural engineering, electrical systems, lift systems, and water supply to conduct urgent inspections of all university buildings to assess potential damage.
Building inspections conducted from March 29 to March 30, 2025, found no structural damage posing a safety risk. Only minor surface cracks were observed in some buildings, which do not compromise their structural integrity and can be repaired. However, one of the Faculty of Forestry’s buildings, which had already been in disrepair, was found to be unsafe due to earthquake damage. The University has ordered the faculty to restrict access to the area and will assess whether to repair or demolish the building.
As there are no broader safety concerns, Kasetsart University will resume normal operations starting March 31, 2025.
Students and staff can be assured of their safety and continue using university facilities as usual.
